The Rule of Six
‘The rule of six’ originally referred to the perfect amount of wine to buy for a small shin-dig. As shipping costs rose, im- porters doubled the number and our perfectly proportioned six bottles became known, miserably, as ‘half a case’.
We wanted to celebrate the traditional meaning of the term, so gathered this sure-fire hit of hamper. Two bottles of the best rosé, two bottles of smooth and silky red, and two bottles of wonderful white. You’ve stuck to the rule of six for ages... why stop now?
